Certification in Healthcare Compliance
Health Ethics Trust began the process of establishing a healthcare compliance professional certification shortly after the Trust’s inception in 1995. The goal of HET’s certification program is to promote professionalism and competence throughout the healthcare compliance community. There are two certification credentials offered for individuals, Certified Compliance Professional (CCP) and Certified Compliance Executive (CCE) and one for organizations, Compliance Program Certification (CPC). These certifications define a level of accomplishment and expertise within the compliance profession.
Compliance responsibilities continue to grow increasingly complex, regulated and costly every year. New, more rigorous benchmarks for effective programs are in demand. All of HET's certification processes are very comprehensive. The Trust believes this approach is necessary because the compliance professional role is an intricate, dynamic and challenging one. This is particularly the case for compliance professionals working in the current healthcare environment. All HET certification processes are periodically reviewed and updated to ensure their continued relevance to health care compliance professionals.
