What healthcare organizations should know about compliance agreements with the federal government. The HHS Inspector General, US Department of Justice, and state enforcement authorities are promising a record year for investigations and recoveries in 2010. Enforcement resources are increasing by as much as $250M. What happens when the Feds/States come knocking? Will your compliance program provide protection for your organization? This course discusses the role of compliance programs in avoiding CIA/CCAs, surviving CIA/CCA implementation, and, ultimately, how a CIA/CCA can enhance the fiscal viability and success of an organization. The faculty for this course includes those who been on the front lines in all parts of the Integrity Agreement process.
Compliance Program & Risk Assessments - April 14
Valid methodologies for conducting compliance program assessments and compliance risk assessments; may lead to Certified Compliance Program Assessor (CCPA) credential upon examination. HET’s complete course on Compliance Program and Compliance Risk Assessment. This is a day long, highly intensive course that provides the tools necessary to conduct a sound in-house compliance program or risk assessment. The program is built on HET’s decade of experience in compliance assessment for healthcare organizations of all types and sizes. These assessments have been conducted on behalf of internal (board, management, compliance program) and external (law firm, court, enforcement) audiences.

All aspects of program and risk assessment are covered including the Compliance Resource Group, Inc. proprietary scoring & benchmarking methodology.

Tuition for the entire series is $695 HET members/ $995 non-members. Membership often pays for itself in a single course if you become a member in conjunction with your course tuition.
The Facility
The NHS Training and Meeting Center in Blue Bell, PA is a state-of-the-art training and meeting facility. The Training Center is equipped with a variety of modern and comfortable meeting spaces, wireless Internet connectivity, video conferencing equipment, training computers, and a café complete with catering capabilities.
Every meeting room boasts full wall whiteboards, projectors, Polycom conference speakerphones, and flip charts. The spacious Training Theater room can seat up to 60 attendees classroom-style, 100 attendees theater style, and features a built-in sound system including both wired and wireless microphones, full projection screen, DVD/VCR, cable television, and teleconference ability. There are two breakout rooms that can accommodate up to ten people and two additional rooms that have a capacity for up to twelve attendees classroom-style.

Cancellation Policy
The Trust is committed to offering the highest level of compliance education at the lowest feasible price. In order to do this, the Cancellation Policy must be strictly enforced.
Registration for Health Ethics Trust courses is an agreement to pay the applicable course tuition. Tuition for cancellations before 3/19/10 is refunded less an administrative fee of $200. Tuition for cancellation after the deadline is not refundable, but a credit toward tuition for a future Trust program (tuition less the administrative fee; must be used within 12 months) will be issued in some cases. Those who cancel after the deadline must still pay the tuition that they agreed to pay by registering for the course even if they have not yet paid their tuition at the time of cancellation.
